Terms of Service

• Service: Starwise software, websites, app, extension, and related features.
• Customer Content: content or data you submit or make available through the Service.
• Output: suggestions, drafts, summaries, and analysis generated by the Service.
• Third-Party Services: external platforms you connect to Starwise.

Starwise helps businesses manage and respond to online reviews, including AI-assisted workflows and drafting features.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, including improved ratings, more reviews, rankings, conversion, or revenue results.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). You are responsible for accurate account information, credential security, and activity under your account.

A. Merchant of Record

Starwise uses a third-party Merchant of Record for purchases and subscriptions. Checkout is processed by that provider, which acts as reseller or seller of record for transaction processing.

B. Taxes and invoices

As Merchant of Record, that provider is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting applicable indirect taxes and for issuing invoices and receipts. Your statement may reference our payment provider.

C. Checkout terms

Purchases may also be subject to buyer terms presented in the checkout flow.

D. Starwise responsibilities

Starwise remains responsible for delivering, operating, and supporting the Service itself.

Pricing, billing cycle, and renewal terms are shown at checkout or in your account.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
• Cancellation typically applies at the end of the current billing period.
• Access may be paused or limited if payment fails.

Unless required by law or explicitly stated, fees are non-refundable once paid.

Refund requests should be sent to info@trystarwise.com. Approved refunds are processed through the applicable payment flow.

Chargebacks may lead to account suspension while disputes are being investigated.

You agree not to:

• violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
• engage in deceptive or manipulative review practices;
• bypass security controls, scrape without authorization, or deploy malware;
• reverse engineer the Service except where legally permitted.

You are responsible for complying with connected platform rules and policies.

You retain ownership of your Customer Content. You grant Starwise a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and use Customer Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You represent that you have all rights required to submit and process your content.

Outputs are suggestions and may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for review and approval before use or publication.

Outputs are not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Starwise is not responsible for the operation or policies of third-party services.

The Service, excluding Customer Content, is owned by Starwise or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited license to use the Service while compliant with these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms or where use creates legal, security, or operational risk.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starwise disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starwise is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Starwise total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed amounts paid in the 12 months before the claim (or CAD $100 if no fees were paid).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Starwise, its officers, team members, and contractors from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, misuse, or violations of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Disputes with Starwise will be brought in Ontario, Canada.

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
